Community Shield Awards

Do you know an African-Canadian based in Toronto who is passionate, dedicated and committed to building and empowering the Black/African community, locally, nationally and/or globally? 

Music Africa is looking to recognize the amazing work Africans in the Greater Toronto Area that contribute to the overall well-being and sustainability of our community on a daily basis. The Community Shield Award is meant to highlight those who work in silence but are hardly ever recognized for the integral role they play in our community. Each applicant will be screened by a committee, and the winners will be formally presented with their awards at year’s AFROFEST.

Nominations will be open from April 25, 2025, to May 30, 2025

    The deadline to submit is June 6, 2023, 11:59 PM. Nominations submitted past this deadline will not be considered.
