Previously known as African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day, Africa Day is an annual celebration of the formation of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963. This event marks the progress made in the liberation of the African continent, symbolizing the determination of the people of Africa to free themselves from foreign domination and exploitation.

AFROFEST Presents Africa Day 2017

Africa Day is aimed at bringing Africans together to celebrate a united Africa. Through our diversity, we are similar. Africa day celebrates the unity within the African community in Toronto and the similarities in their music and culture.
