The Board of Directors of Music Africa would like to invite to their Annual General Meeting – AGM 2017.

We welcome all members including 2017 AfroFest vendors/merchants to attend our annual AGM, however only members in good standing (fully paid for 2017) are eligible to vote at the AGM – Membership card will be required.
A membership table will be setup onsite for anyone who would like to become a new member or to renew expired membership.

Africa Day 2017
Previously known as African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day, Africa Day is an annual celebration of the formation of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963. This event marks the progress made in the liberation of the African continent, symbolizing the determination of the people of Africa to free themselves from foreign domination and exploitation.
AFROFEST 2017 Launch
AFROFEST is the largest free African festival in North America which showcases the beauty and diversity of African cultural heritage. During the launch, we will provide information on our vision for Music Africa and AFOFEST 2017; significant changes; improvements and an overall overview of the festival.
AFROFEST Amateur/Industry Night:
This is a networking event for African artists, managers, booking agents, record labels, music producers, radio hosts and event producers. It will also feature performances by amateur artists. The event aims at linking African artists with individuals and resources that can help them become more successful within the African cultural scene in Toronto.
“Africa Celebrates Canada”
Organized on Canada Day 2017 as part of the Canada 150 celebration, AFROFEST is celebrating Africans in Toronto and the opportunities presented by the Government of Canada and the Canadian people to facilitate success of Africans. Though we understand that there is still a lot to learn, AFROFEST believes it is also important to acknowledge the success made thus far while working towards a brighter future.

This is Music Africa’s main event, the largest free African festival in North America, the event which brings the African community in Toronto together and the event which showcases the beauty and diversity of African music and culture. It features over 35 musical performances from various regions in Africa, about 70 food and merchandise vendors, an African creative village for children and creative adults, an interactive drum zone, 2 musical stages and the most amazing audience in all of Toronto!
